Congress woman, popularly known as the only Hindu American Politician, Ms Tulasi Gabbard, United States Representative from Hawaii, appreciated the active role being played by Non Resident Telugu community in American economy with their professional excellence and suggested that they should play a similar active role in American politics also.
Ms Tulasi Gabbard, who was in Bay Area on the occasion of PM Narendra Modi’s Visit has met NRI Telugu community in a Meet & Greet program organized in Hotel Swagat and spoke about various issues from India-merica relations to Indian American concerns in USA.
Answering to specific questions on Immigration, she assured her help in bringing those issues to the attention of Federal Govt and to resolve the same.
Mr Jayaram Komati, Past President TANA, and the community leader spoke about Ms Tulasi Gabbard as the only person who took oath on Bhagawath geetha and requested her to take care of immigration and other issues of Indian Americans residing in USA at present.
Mr JP Vegella, IT Entrepreneur who introduced Ms Tulasi Gabbard has appreciated her dynamism. The group has raised over $20000 to the support of Ms Tulasi Gabbard.
Several NRI Telugus Jayadev Appannagari, HemaRao Nandipati, Ashok Kolla, Karun Veligeti, Umakanth Uppalapati, Vinay parachuri, Sumanth Pulasuri and others participated.
