Are you a software engineer? Earning Rs 5 lakh per month? And do you feel you are on top of anybody else? Then you are wrong. Are you a business man? Earning Rs 10 lakh per month? Then don’t think that you are top of everybody. Even a degree failed numbskull is earning crores per month. And there is only one such platform-The Indian Politics. It is shame to say this, but happens to be a rotten truth.
There is a common understanding that any MP or MLA can earn properties that would run 3-4 generations in riches with a mere single tenure. An MLA who has just Rs 5 Cr property on a whole before elections, is now running into Rs 100 – 200 Cr after 5 years. Then just imagine the plight of MPs and Ministers. Hence there is huge demand for a position in this field. There are murders, there is violence, there goondas and there is every nasty thing that can be seen under the sky.
YSR said that he has no money with him during the ‘Paada Yatra’ in 2003. Many have funded for that activity. Now even a worker in YSR’s house is a crorepathi. Chandrababu Naidu forcibly made people buy his Heritage Milk to fulfill his business motives, when he was in rule. His Hotel Businesses in Singapore started and picked up only when he was in power. KCR, with his mere 3 year tenure as Central Minister earned whopping sums. His son, who was in a good position in software industry, has quit his job and entered politics taking inspiration from his father. Chiranjeevi might have crores of rupees in his pocket. Is Chiranjeevi spending a single penny from his pocket for people? He asks for large funds again and again. Who knows? He may become the richest in India if given power. All these leaders have hardly mentioned anything about their businesses in the ‘Form’ that they fill at Election Commission.
How the filed of politics got such a big craze? The reason behind that are the people of the nation but none other. We, the people of India glorified MLAs, MPs, Ministers and even Prime Ministers. We have to understand that the so called above titles are our slaves but not masters of gods. We have to learn how to make them work. Only the worthy would withstand and the rest would certainly sign out. Some of the Mumbaikars have decided not to pay ‘taxes’ in coming financial year as government failed to give protection for them. The ‘nam ke vaaste’ security in the nation is of no use, shout Mumbaikars with loads of grief.
And even in Tirumala, the security is very weak. The guards are peacefully sitting aside and enjoying MP3 music waving green signal for vehicles those climb hill. They would act as if they are alert only when some Minister’s convoy passes that way. How can common men get confidence on the system?
What ‘Praja Seva’ these leaders do? What Praja Rajyam they bring? Where is the dedicated Congress that was seen during early independence days? Where is Communism that works for social justice? What security the TDP can assure? What KCR wants other than CM chair with separate Telangana state? What he would do with that if given?
The people of India should take a common oath. If any leader fails to fulfill any promise that he does during campaigning, he should eat 100 Cr slaps on his cheek in public. With that every promise that he gives, will be calculative and reasonable. The movement should start from that point. Rest would automatically follow.
