Telugu Association of South Florida celebrated 2008 Deepavali on November 1st at Shiva Vishnu Temple in Ft. Lauderdale. Around 500 people enjoyed the cultural programs by local kids and a musical night by Nightingale sisters of Hyderabad, Shilpa and Deepika.
TANA President Sri Prabhakar Choudary Kakarala garu was the chief guest for this event.
Amidst thunderous applause, TANA President shared the General Body Meeting decision to have the 17th TANA Conference in Orlando from July 2nd â 4th 2009. Florida Telugu Community thanked TANA president for his leadership and commitment for being fair to Florida Telugu People and for confirming the conference to Orlando, Florida.

TANA President welcomed âAncient Languageâ status to Telugu Language and spoke about the new help line â1 888 TANA 4 youâ that is in place to provide help for those in emergency in North America.
