Prabhakar Choudary: ‘I am the President of TANA’

I have been devoting my time and effort to keep TANA on the right path by streamlining financial systems and imposing high moral standards. I enjoy tremendous support from the TANA members as President of TANA. TANA Board is unable to answer tough questions on Washington TANA conference finances, on membership verification, and on several procedural issues. They resorted to the lowest level similar to a coup in removing a person who is in their way. It is a failed attempt. I am elected by TANA members at large and not by these few self-interested Board members. According to legal experts, a Board in a non-profit organization doesn’t have a right to remove a President who was directly elected by the members. Though they were cautioned of this as it is illegal to remove an elected president, they ignored all legal and ethical norms. This over-jealous Board does not have a leg to stand on to justify this uncivilized action. I have called for an Extraordinary General Body Meeting in Atlanta to meet all TANA members on October 4, 2008 and exchange views in person. All TANA members and all Board members are welcome to participate in this open forum. This Board’s actions remind me of crooked politics where some opportunists try to remove a head of the state. Due to Hurricane Ike, the area where I live was totally devastated, more than five million people lost power and communication systems failed. This unethical Board took this action during the time of my absence. I humbly inform all our TANA members and public at large that I am the President of TANA and Board’s actions are meaningless.

Sincerely,
Prahakar Choudary Kakarala
President, TANA, Inc
