Telugu NRI found dead in hotel room

Hyderabad (PTI): A US-based Telugu NRI, Dr Anand Pavan Kumar was found dead in his hotel room here.

The body of Anand, who hails from Guntur district in Andhra Pradesh, was on Tuesday found lying in his hotel room at Banjara Hills, Punjagutta Inspector B Malla Reddy said on wednesday.

“We have found white powder like substance on the bed and it has been sent for forensic test,” he said.

Anand, who was staying in US for a long time along with his parents, had arrived on a business trip, he said.

Police is investigating if it was a case of suicide or murder

The post-mortem would be conducted on Thursday after the arrival of his parents from US.
