Former chief minister and Telugu Desam president N Chandrababu Naidu has launched a Knowledge Forum to enable him to get feedback and suggestions on important issues from Telugu NRIs.
Here are some of the suggestions Babu has received:
First suggestion on How to make villages self-sufficient and happy to live?
People from villages are migrating to cities in big numbers in search of jobs. Day by day life in villages is becoming difficult with deceases like Dengue, chiken gunea ,viral fevers etc in addition to under employment , poverty , rising prices ,unhealthy environment without protected drinking water. In this context can the NRIs suggest few solutions? 1. How agriculture and agro-based industries can be developed to provide jobs at local places to make their lives better,. 2 How to develop rural society, some plans, 3. How to contain migrations from villages to urban centers, 4 Can you suggest some low cost patented technologies to be used in villages specially in Andhra Pradesh, 5. Can you suggest small and simple technologies, which can be procured ,useful in rural society to create sustainable economy to make the lives of villagers happy , 6. Can you adopt a village and serve it through your kith and kin or NRIs adopting a group of most backward villages and provide infrastructure and amenities like health and education in addition to providing useful vocations. Suggestions requested.
Second suggestion:
hello, i am chaitanay doing my MBA in UK. i am from hyderabad but my native place is vijayawada and so i have a little exposure in the rural areas in krishna distrit. coming to the point, how to make villages slef-sufficient , i have few point. 1. basic needs such as transportation and education and at the same time water supply and electricity must be there. provide the water supply and electricity for every home without any power cut. we can produce current and better to haev seperate stations for every village. 2. please make sure that the rice and other products produced by the village people are directly brought into market, and you aleady did that but if we have 10 members in between the process the villager cant get the right price. let him tell his selling price and you on belahf of government buy it and again distribute to teh market. 3.we can also provide free intermediate in corporate colleges. so after 10th the student from village can study in GOWTHAM,SRICHAITANYA,VIKAS OR NARAYAN inter colleges. these people are earning crores and its not a big deal to give the student two year free coaching. i am sorry if i say any thing wrong, because i have full idea about education and industrialization. but i dont have full knowldge aout rural areas but i will forward some techiniques which are used in UK nad US as well.
