Amitabh Das killed in a road accident in Jacksnoville, Florida

Amitabh Das, 31, a Software Engineer from Orissa got killed in a road accident on August 7th early morning in Jacksonville, Florida. Amitabh graduated with B.Tech from College of Engineering & Technology, Bhuvaneswar, Orissa. He came to USA in 2001 as an Infosys employee and later switched to Techni Source Company. Das who is single survived by father Dr. Pratap Kishore, mother Dr. Iva Rani and brother Debasis Das all reside in Orissa.

“A team of volunteers and Amitabh’s friends Sandeep, Rajesh and Abishek are helping with the situation. Amitabh’s family from Orissa requested us to help with the proceedings. I spoke with Consul General of India, Houston officials to speed up the process who are ready to help as soon as they get all documents from Florida.  We are hoping to send the deceased to his parents who are in Bhuvaneswar by end of this week. We express our deepest condolences to the Amitabh family”, said Prasad Thotakura, General Secretary of the Indian American Friendship Council (IAFC).
