In this case if the prospective bride is either prettier or has couple of more degrees than her ‘dulhe raja’, that she can flaunt, the dowry rules change at once and the bride wins herself a free wedding, sponsored entirely by the groom’s family! And if she is lucky, her “added credentials” can also get her some moolah, furniture or maybe even a car. That’s quite a deal, isn’t it?
