Detroit victims are from Krishna District

Vijayawada: The three of a family who were killed and whose bodies were found in their Detroit apartment in US on Tuesday, are from Krishna district. 

The three victims, Jayalakshmi Nerusu, her daughter Tejaswi and son, Sivakumar, hail from Akunuru village of Vuyyuru mandal in Krishna district. Jayalakshmi’s husband, Lakshmi Srinivasa Rao, who is absconding till date, hails from this village, while Jayalakshmi is from Kandrika village of Ungutur mandal in Krishna district. 

On learning about the incident, Lakshmi Srinivasa Rao’s father, Koteswara Rao, a retired teacher, had left for US on Friday to collect the bodies of the deceased. 

The residents of the two villages are shocked to learn about the incident and are consoling the family members of both Srinivasa Rao and Vijayalakshmi.
