Puri Jagannath has won the hearts of all Telugu movie audiences with the film ‘Pokiri’. And NRIs have regarded him as the top icon in Tollywood till he came up with ‘Neninthe’ today. He has insulted NRIs stating that they are saving their 8 American Dollars with selfishness and not shelling that out for the benefit of producers. Puri seems to be rubbing on the wrong side of entire NRI fraternity. How many NRIs have bought the distribution rights for various Telugu movies and bitten mud? Which producer came forward to fill the losses? The NRI distributors are real passionate people towards movies. They have been purchasing the overseas rights of movies just with mere passion for cinema and developing rapport with film fraternity. There are many overseas distributors those resemble the character of Sai Ram in ‘Neninthe’, the true fans of Telugu cinema.

And coming to the dialogue on 8 dollars, Puri should know that there is no body to shell out dollars for films those are worth dumping in dust bins. And Puri is also not there for charity but only for business. Can he pay back the losses for NRI distributors if they lose money after taking his films?

And coming to the comment on reviews, there are a few reviews those are rated high but the result of films was ‘failure’. And there are some movies those were rated ‘very less’ but turned successful. Ultimately, the NRI Telugu audiences and movie lovers those decide the plight of a movie. Film review is only a caution / suggestion for NRIs those wish to save their dollars. But still thousands of NRI fans of various actors and directors watch the movies of their favorites irrespective of reviews and ratings.

Puri Jagannath doesn’t know the value of hard earned 8 dollars of NRIs. How can he claim that he unleashed several angles of websites and movie business? In fact, we have the answer, as he titled the movie ‘Neninthey’. But still, he needs to apologize the NRI community for his insulting dialogue in the movie.
