Sai Vigraha Pratishta and Maha Kumbhabishekam in LA

It was February 17th, a chilly day in Los Angeles. A day which most of the Sai baba devotees will always cherish in their life with devotion and eternal bliss. On this auspicious day in Montebello, Los Angeles, the Shirdi Sai Baba Sansthan had the Omnipresent, the Eternal one, Saibaba’s idol installed. It was a very spiritual occasion for all the baba devotees. Over 2500 Baba devotees visited the temple and were blessed by Sri Sai Baba. The devotees came from all over the country and participated in various Poojas and spiritual events. The devotees came from all over the country and participated in various Poojas and spiritual events. The main events include  Dhaanyaadhivasam, Pushpaadhivasam, Shayyadhivasam, Vigraha Pratishtha, Ashta Bandhanam,Murti Pran Pratishtha, and the Maha Kumbhabishekam to Baba.

This once in a life time event was a group effort of many Sai devotees and volunteers who worked day and night to make this a grand success. It was beautiful to watch all the volunteers in orange T shirts guiding the devotees and making sure every one gets a chance to seek the divine blessings of Sri Sai Baba. The holy chanting of the sacred Sai Namam still echoes in all the devotees’ hearts and ears. The spiritual homam (Havan) and its sacred fire sure brought devotion and happiness to every devotee.  Baba’s idol with grace and smile immersed the devotees in joy that everyone who witnessed will relish forever.

Although a gigantic task, the event was well organized, an eye feast and laudable in all possible manner. It wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say that Shri Shirdi Sai Sansthan is the only and first Sai temple in Los Angeles area.  With Sai blessings it also became a popular temple that is visited by several hundreds of devotees every week.

The five day events started on the 13th Feb and concluded today on the 17th with the Maha Kumbhabishekam.
