Sri Venkateswara University Alumni Association (SVUAA), USA felicitated TUDA Chairman Sri. Chevi Reddy Bhasker Reddy at “Our Place” Indian restaurant, Irving, Texas on 25th February, 2008. The venue overflowed with record attendance and the happiness and cheer the event generated was unprecedented.
TUDA Chairman C Bhasker Reddy was the chief guest. Glorious evening took off with Lord venkateswara sthothram followed by welcome speech by SVUAA President Sri. Gopi Reddy Chillaukuru.
Mr. Gopi Reddy shared his past college experiences with attendees and objectives of SVU Alumni Association. Many SVU Ex students shared their sweet memories as well.
The event was attended by several guests that include all representatives of ATA, TANA and TANTEX. All 3 large telugu associations together felicitated sri. Bhaskar Reddy.
At the beginning of the program, Mr. Gopi Reddy introduced his close friend Mr. Bhasker Reddy on the stage and briefed on his leadership skills, political interests to serve the needy and all the hard nuts he cracked to make his dreams come true along with his current services to TUDA and TTD.Sri. Bhasker Reddy took everyone on a nostalgic journey which was very inspiring. He openly shared his achievements; mistakes and lessons learnt. He stressed on the need and importance of service minded NRI’s in Indian politics. He also reminded about mother, mother land, childhood and sweet things back home. UNT professor and First Avadhani in US Sri. Pudur Jagadeeswaran mesmerized with his instant poetry SVUAA and Sri. Bhaskar Reddy.
Mr. Bhasker Reddy also launched the SVUAA’s official website (www.SVUAlumni.org). TANTEX president Smt. Shyamala Rummala and TANTEX President-elect Sri. Sridhar Korsapati, Sri. Prasad Thotakura, Sri. Ram yalamanchili from TANA and Sri. Gurram Srinivas Reddy from ATA and SVUAA executive committee members Ramesh Gadiraju, Raman reddy Kristapati, Hari K Raju ,Suresh Manduva, and Harinath Raju Konduru felicitated Sri. Bhasker Reddy with shaluvas, awarded with “Distinguished youth leader” shield and thanked him for taking his time and sharing his views. Sri. Bhaskar Reddy felicated first EX SVU student Smt&Sri.Viswanadham Puligandla. All the guests were thrilled when SVUAA offered Tirumala Devasthanam laddu’s and also famous theertha prasads brought all the way from tirumala. It was like having Lord Venkateswara as our chief guest. Things can’t be any better!Program concluded with a vote of thanks from Suresh Manduva.
