With the chanting of Veda Mantras by the templeâs prime priest Narayana Bhattar, Smt and Sri Shantaramâs Deeparadhana and Sri Gandhi Cherukumillâs Panchaga Sravanam, the Telugu Association of Greater Orlando (TAGO) started their Sarvadhari Ugadi Vedukalu at HSCF Auditorium Orlando FL on April 26th 2008 and mesmerized the huge audience.
While Smt Prasuna Kalki and Smt Padmaja Gandhy were anchoring the event, the kids performed the Fancy Dresses, boys and girls danced to the tunes of various traditional and movie songs and melodious songs were sung by the local talent.
Representatives from Jacksonville, South Florida and Tampa telugu associations attended this function. Community leaders of Florida have announced that North America Telugu celebrations to be held in July of 2009. When the July 2009 Telugu Conference details were announced Florida Telugu Community was on their feet applauding the occasion.
Prizes were distributed to the winners of the Fancy Dress, Singing, Ugadi Project and Kavithalu competitions. A delicious and mouth luring food was served to all the attendees. The orchestra by Floraga thrilled the audience with their fast beat songs.
TAGOâs President (Indrasen Kasireddy), President- elect (Ramu Guduri), Secretary (Sai Yerrapragada), Treasurer (Prasad Kompella) and Executive Member (Jhansi Dommeti) organized this event with the sponsorship of Sri Mantena Raju and Smt Mantena Padma. Florida Community leaders Sri Kotha Sekaharam, Dr. Madhavi Sekharam, Smt. Jyothy Kalakota, Sri Ravi Madala, Sri Jarugula Srinivas, Sri Mallikarjuna Jerripothula, Sri Chakradhar Voleti , Sri Ravi Gandhy and others were present at the occasion.
