Dear Governing Board Members:

Apparently Dr. Jampala  set the Negative tone in the last GB meeting and Mr. Thotakura followed that and going down to reach the bottom with twisted truth. Either of them does not know the character and credibility of Mr. Kakarala.

Dr. Jampala is playing his negative game as usual. There are good people in our GB. Please do not fall for his negative analysis. Please think positively and understand before you proceed. This is my sincere request.

Mr. Thotakura has sent a letter with title “A STATEMENT OF FACTS TO TANA MEMBERS”. This letter was sent as if it was prepared by Governing Board of TANA, which in fact was prepared by him or by individuals like him. As I see the Board minutes this letter was never approved by Governing Board.  Mr. Thotakura assumed his opinion as Governing Board Opinion. That has been going on since beginning. That is called autocracy.

None of the Dr. Jampala negative analysis or Mr. Thotakura 10 page analysis address, why in the first place they objected Mr. Ravi Madala to actively involve in 17th TANA convention. The truth is Mr. Madala put all his sincere efforts in finding place and presented to the EC in Detroit meeting in October 2006. Then EC satisfied with the presentation and EC members continued from last term has already expressed their consent on several occasions to appoint him as coordinator. This is well known to several TANA members. One thing I don’t know why BOT waited about 8 months to approve this. Now strangely same EC members changed their tune. The difference is I did not.  That is I call character.

About signing the contract, it has been going on in TANA.  To the best of my knowledge, we never pass the resolution naming some one to sign the contract for convention place any time in the history of TANA.  For Detroit conference Dr. Bandla has signed. No one questioned. As a responsible officers of the Organization to secure the place with better pricing we have to sign. Especially when there is no personal benefit intended, I don’t see any thing wrong. About the penalty, I told $50000 as estimated penalty charges. Never changed the number as twisted in Mr. Thotakura letter.  You may look at the minutes. I only found out actual penalty $167195, when I cancelled the contract. I have sent that information to whole GB. Mr. Thotakura may twist or turn any thing he wants as usual.

As I explained before, though I didn’t agree with GB to change the venue, I have prepared to work with  Mr. Yadlapati when he agreed to pay off the Florida cancellation charges and when he agreed to include Florida community in Chicago conference.

Dear TANA President Prabhakar chowdary garu,

Greetings.the TANA 2009 Conference committee along with TANA EC & GB will aggresively work hard from August 2008 through June 2009 raising funds through organised fund raising events in Chicago & other U.S.A  cities.
Once sufficient funds are raised, the first order of business is to clear the Florida marriot convention default amount.

Regards
Yugandhar Yadlapati
2009 Tana conference Coordinator  ”

Since he backed off from his commitment with some excuses, the whole thing fell apart.

Since beginning EC has started imposing restrictions in appointing committee chairs and in publishing information in Patrika. For example EC does not want to publish summary of Internal Revenue Service audit report, because there are bylaw violations for not having TANA financials audited by CPA and because of questions by IRS agent for lack of conflict Interest policy and officers’ political affiliation. Though we had these problems, I have successfully completed the audit. Otherwise we would have lost exempt status by this time. No one wants talk about it. We should not afraid to communicate with members with the facts. That is I call transparency. I have been diligently working to protect the interests of TANA.

After reading these emails with twisted truth, I felt that my presence may not serve any purpose in today’s GB meeting. Our communications infrastructure also not in place due to Hurricane IKE. So, I would not attend today’s meeting. You are welcome to share your opinions in General body forum on October 04, 2008 in Atlanta, directly with members by whom we were elected.

Sincerely,
Prabhakar Choudary Kakarala
