It was like a dream come true for the Telugu music lovers of Minnesota; when  the Jeffereson  Highschool auditorium resonated with a sensational presentation of Manisharma’s music.  His 16 member team with singers and orchestra rocked the stadium and the 500 people in it was an amazing feast for the ears !

The evening’s music “Dhamaka” started with Venkat Kothur’s welcome speech inviting the guests and artists, on behalf of organizers  Sankar Bandi, Ratnakar Pasumarty from Curry Leaf, Ram Tallapaka, Kishore Pandari, Vivek  Addagudi and Madhu Kolan, Sirish Samba from Brookdale Cinemas and sponsors of the event.

“Reverse Gear”  Guru Swamy the master of ceremony introduced the team in his unique paradoxical  manner !  It started with a big blast as 4 singers – Vijayalakshmi, Malavika ,Murali and Mallikarjun presented their foot tapping songs; continuing the evening music journey with popular songs of the sensational hit movies like Kantri, Chirutha etc.  The exuberance of the audience mounted with each  number.

Reverse gear guru swamy performed some popular songs in reverse order and amazed one and all with his parody and bone tickling jokes to the amusement of the huge audience. His Narayana Murthy style of singing Chiranjeevi’s popular song “Abbani Tiyyani Debba…” is note worthy.

Manisharama’s drum team took the audience by surprise by their heart throbbing nonstop beats which resulted in a standing ovation by the crowd!  Vijayalakshmi and Malivika sang a song from “Morning Raga” which transcended the audience into an enjoyable musical trance.  Murali impressed  the female audience to a whole hilarious  new level by his song “Aadavari Mattala KI Arthale Verule”.  Mallikarjun sang and danced to the Mega star Chiranjeevi’s “Manmadha Manmadha” song which drove the audience crazy.
