Dallas, TX: Several hundreds of Indian American community members gathered to share the pain and sorrow at a Candle light vigil and multi-faith prayer arranged by the India Association of North Texas (IANT) at its office in Richardson on Nov. 28th, Friday evening.
 
Prasad Thotakura, General Secretary of the Indian American Friendship Council (IAFC) and the former President of the India Association of North Texas (IANT) in his message stated that more than 150 people lost their lives and more than 400 people injured when a handful of terrorists went on shooting and bomb exploding rampage in Mumbai since Wednesday. It is one of the worst terrorist attacks in the history of India; the whole World was shaken up of this carnage. Prasad Thotakura on behalf of the Indian American community expressed his deepest condolences to the families who lost their loved ones and injured in this menace. He praised the bravery of the several high-ranking law enforcement officials who were fighting the Terrorists to bring the situation under control. He demanded the Indian government to punish these Terrorists without any delay in process to teach a lesson to others that India is ready to fight and they can’t win on Indian soil.

A multi-faith prayers led by Poros Balsara-Zohorastrian, Mike Ghouse-Jewish, Anant Jain-Jainism, Bharat Bhai Dave-Hindu, Imam Yasin Shaik-Muslim, Raju George- Christian, Jnani Jayendar Singh-Sikh, Sunil Maini-Chinmya Mission, Kala-Art of Living Foundation and Amal Mukharjee-Bengali Association offered multi-faith prayers with a candle light vigil.
 
Las Daswani, IANT Board of Trustees Chair in his vote of thanks message thanked all IANT Board members and volunteers and all community members for attending the prayer meeting in a short notice.
