Dear Mr. Prabhakara Chowdary,

You have seriously involved in a conspiracy to promote your friends to higher positions in TANA.

What is the conspiracy?
Mr. Prabhakara Chowdary wanted to appoint Mr. Madala Ravi as the Coordinator of the 17th TANA Conference at any cost.

Your answers to the following 16 questions will either prove (or) negate the conspiracy.

Topic 1: 17th TANA Conference and Coordinator’s appointment.

Count 1:
On November 4th, 2007, you have sent a message through TANA Magazine appointing Madala Ravi as the Coordinator of the Conference. You are well aware that, as per by-laws, you can’t take a unilateral decision on this appointment. More over, you are also aware that EC has scheduled a meeting on November 5th, 2007 to discuss the same. In this incident, did you (or) did you not, intentionally, violated the by-law?

Count 2:
In September 2007, based on the request made by more than 40% of the executive committee members, a meeting was scheduled for December 13th, 2007. On December 12th, you have sent an email stating that “You have received legal notice to cancel the meeting and advised to postpone the same.” In this incident, did you (or) did you not, intentionally, tried to derail the democratic process?

Count 3:
Did you (or) did you Not, attend the meetings occurred on November 5th, 2007 and December 13th, 2007, whose agenda was to decide the 17th TANA Conference Coordinator?

Count 4:
On April 24th, 2008, you traveled to Chicago and announced Chicago as the 17th TANA Conference Venue. On May 3rd, you along with the Executive Committee, appointed Mr. Yugandhar Yadlapati as the 17th TANA Conference Coordinator. Did you (or) did you not, inform Florida Telugu Community, prior to the announcement, that the Conference is being moved?

Count 5:
On July 26th, 2008, you traveled to Chicago, where Madala Ravi was announced as 17th TANA Conference (Chicago) Conference Committee Chairman. Along with that Dr. Mukkamala Appa Rao (Michigan), Mr. Nadella Rana Kumar (Atlanta), Mr. Lavu Srinivasa Rao (Atlanta), Mr. Chundu Veeriah (California) were appointed as committee chairmans. Were you (or) were you not, aware of this negation before hand? If you were aware, did you (or) did you not share this information with the rest of the Governing Board Members?

Count 6:
On August 20th, 2008, you have attended a conference call, along with Madala Ravi, Nadella Rana Kumar, Yugandhar Yadlapati and few others. In that call, Mr. Madala Ravi was asked to drop the lawsuit and he rejected to do so. As a result, all appointments made earlier were revoked. However you have criticized those who asked for the lawsuit with drawl. As a president of the organization, should you (or) should you not think that it is reasonable to request Mr. Madala Ravi to withdraw the lawsuit?

Count 7:
On September 1st, Madala Ravi and Nadella Rana Kumar, sends a letter stating that the 17th TANA Conference would occur in Florida. When the board requested you to clarify your stand, you have mentioned that you are in favor of the 17th TANA Conference in Chicago and will release a press statement. However, you have repeatedly failed to fulfill your promise. When there is confusion among membership, as a president of TANA, do you (or) don’t you feel that it is your responsibility to eliminate the confusion among members?

Count 8:
Instead of communicating to the members about your stand as mentioned in Count 7, without the knowledge of the Governing Board, you have sent an email, communicating to TANA members, that there would be an extra ordinary general body meeting in Atlanta on October 4th, 2008. Do you (or) don’t you agree that this communication would increase the confusion that is already existing among the TANA members?

Topic II: Membership Verification

Count 1:
In the 2007-2008 TANA membership drive, the membership has significantly increased. After inquiry, several inaccuracies were also found. Some of them were a) members with names Apple Mac etc; b). Several members signing from the same address etc. As a President of the organization, do you or don’t you feel that a serious inquiry into the membership is required?

Count 2:
Based on the Governing Boards unanimous decision (you voted in favor as well), in the first week of July, a membership verification letter was sent to the TANA member. On July 13th, you have sent an email to the TANA members advising them to ignore the verification request. Did you (or) did you not, consult the board before sending this confusing direction to the TANA members?

Topic III: Law Suit

Count 1:
In December, 2007, you have received letters from Attorneys requesting for some organizational documents. You were repeatedly advised to respond to those letters and were also offered help in preparing them. Did you or did you not, acted responsibly by providing the requested information in timely manner?

Count 2:
In February 2008, TANA receives a major lawsuit, reasoning that attorneys didn’t receive the requested information? Do you (or) don’t you take personal responsibility for this lawsuit?

Topic IV: Extra Ordinary General Body Meeting

Count 1:
When a general body meeting (in corporate world, it is viewed as share holder meeting), is called for, every TANA member must be notified about the meeting venue, city and timings. Currently, TANA members receive and consider any communication they receive through TANA Magazine, Direct Letter or TANA Website as official. Did you (or) did you not use any of the above methods to inform members about the general body meeting?

Count 2:
On September 19th, you have sent the email giving 2 week notice to the members about this general body meeting. Even though, you have initially sent a communication via email, there is a two week lead time during which you should have made sincere attempt to reach all the general body members via regular mail. Did you (or) did you not feel that it is reasonable to make such an attempt?

Count 3:
Only a fraction (approximately 0.01%) of the TANA general body members attended this meeting and made decision to remove approximately 15 Governing Board members. Do you (or) don’t you agree that any decisions made in this meeting are non binding because a). All TANA Members (share holders) were not informed about the meeting. b). only 0.01% of the members attended the meeting.

Count 4:
The 0.01% of the attendees made the following decisions.

1.Reappointed you as TANA President
2.Announced Florida as the venue for the 17th TANA Conference, and thus paving a path to Madala Ravi to become the Coordinator.
3.Removed 20 Governing Board members and revoked their membership.

This meeting was announced and planned, even before you were removed as TANA President. So, one can assume that Proposal 1 and 3 would not have been planned for discussion in this meeting. Did you (or) did you not plan this meeting to announce Florida as the venue of 17th TANA Conference and either appoint or pave the path for Mr. Madala Ravi to become the Coordinator?

Thank You,
