With the resignations of YS Jaganmohan Reddy and Vijayamma from Loksabha and Assembly respectively and from primary memberships of the Congress party, the golden times of the Grand Ole Party of India are over. Not only in Andhra Pradesh but also in entire India.

The state that gave the power to the party at Center both in 2004 and 2009 has completely moved away from Congress party forever. There are absolutely no chances for the party to come back in future, even with the help of Chiranjeevi, KCR, or anyone else.

People of Andhra Pradesh believe that Congress is YSR and YSR is Congress. And there are some, who believe it was Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and YSR, who was responsible for the party’s resurrection from the dead in AP. This includes the Italian Gandhi family too. And these people should check back the seats and votes the mother and son delivered in Bihar. But for having Gandhi as last name, these people would have hung their heads in shame.

The peoples’ response at the shunting away of YS family from Congress has been massive and this would not bode well for the party all across India as they get to the opinion that there is no place for loyalty in the party. How else would they think when the image of the leader that was completely responsible for the party’s glory is being tarnished in the most cruel way?

The Congress party in Andhra Pradesh now consists of inept leaders like VH, KK, Kaka, Yashki, or any other leader including KKR that was not even responsible for their own victories, let alone the whole state. One fails to understand these people and their hell bent up on approach of slinging mud at the family that got them the government.

Even more puzzling to the people is the attitude of Sonia Gandhi and her immature child, Rahul Gandhi. Sonia, with her Italian mafia style uses leaders like YSR to reach her goals and gets them killed in “accidents”. Rajesh Pilot, Madhava Rao Sindhia, YSR were all great leaders that were supposed to show the way to the nation. Coincidentally, they all met with helicopter “accidents”. There was never any proper investigation. The guy that could never complete any degree in any college, and never worked responsibly in any firm is trying to run the country. It’s very dangerous for India.

The party hardly has any presence in UP, Bihar, WB, Gujrat, Tamilnadu, Orissa, Jarkhand, Chattisgarh, Uttaranchal, J&K, and limited presence in Maharastra, Karnataka, Kerala. Now, Andhra Pradesh just joined the likes of UP, Bihar, and Tamilnadu. YS Jagan’s resignation from party could prove to be the last nail on All India Congress Party’s coffin. Time will tell but most other parties like BJP must be celebrating right now.

As for as YS Jagan is concerned, besides being a rebel, YS Jagan has to be more constructive and proactive. Time has come for him to be firmer, not angrier. He needs to organize at least six district level massive meetings, where he would have to ask the crowds as to who was responsible for Congress party winning elections and why is that Congress HC encourages YSR detractors (VH, KK, Kaka, Yashki, JC, DL, RC, etc) to enjoy the power and let them tarnish YSR image. Also, he should ask the people if the social programs were YSR’s or anyone else’s and why those programs are not implemented properly now.

As far as people are concerned, most Reddys, Christians, Muslims, Dalits, STs and BCs are behind YS Jagan. Add this to the independents and disgruntled supporters of TDP, PRP and TRS and there can be seen a groundswell of popular support to the young and brave leader. This show of strength (crowds) will make the MLAs and HC nervous equally and he should clarify to the MLAs directly that the alternative leadership will be groomed if they don’t support him NOW. MLAs then will be left with a choice between three years of immediate power or 30 years of career. This will raise YS Jagan’s image to a new level. He was in fact grooming alternative leadership in the districts that he was touring. But the districts that he did not get to go yet and would take a long time to do that, eg. Guntur, Tirupati, Kadapa, Ananthapur, Mahboob Nagar, Warangal, Nijamabad, Karimnagar, Karnool, etc. He can address each district at head quarter level with one unveiling of YSR statue, one per day and show his strength among the people. That would make all these people that are scheming against him quite nervous.

If closely observed, high command’s move of installing KKR as CM clearly indicates that high command has tried to give a message to the people that there is an alternative to Jagan. YS Jagan should also adopt similar strategy and give a message to people that there is an alternative to Congress party as well. This is possible by making some changes in his odarpu yatra. Apart from explaining the schemes of YSR, he should also start projecting the alternative leadership in public platform. He should make these leaders to come out with the shortcomings of the present leadership and should explain the need of alternative leadership by giving a clear cut road map to people.

As of now people understood the problem of YS Jagan. But what people expect from a leader is not only to understand a problem but also to provide a solution to it. One of the reasons why Rosaiah had failed was he was always perceived by people as part of problem rather than part of solution. Now Jagan should make efforts to shift focus of people from Congress to new party and should also make sure to communicate to the people that YSR’s goodwill is the property of the new party and not of Congress.

YS Jagan should start preparations for the new outfit now and seriously. Also, people that were confused with his statement on not pulling down the government should understand that he would have never done that while in Congress party. Now that he has to and he will start the new YSR Party, he would not guarantee the survival of the Congress government as the MLAs that join his new party could indirectly cause the same. The local body elections that would have to be conducted eventually will see the entree of the new party and will show YS Jagan’s antagonists what he really meant when he talked of the tsunami! And that will teach the people that tried to tarnish YSR!

YS Jagan’s war cry will be “Freedom for Andhra Pradesh” from sealed cover Chief Ministers, out of state politicians controlling the state and its leaders, right to equal power at the Centre. He would stress the need for peoples’ leaders adminstring the state, rather than by the remote control from 10 Janpath. He will stress the state politics will stay in side the state. Freedom to the state, welfare to the people, development of all will lead to greatness to Telugu jathi.

YS Jagan will rise like a phoenix from the ashes of the Congress Party
