Dallas: Rajendra Prasad Racherla, 28 yrs, an young software engineer passed away in Austin, TX on Sunday, October 17th, 2010 due to natural causes. Rajendra was suffering from severe cold and cough for the last couple of days and his wife called 911 when he had a trouble breathing Friday night. Doctors at St. David’s North Austin Hospital performed series of tests and found swelling in the brain nerves and went into coma, later on was pronounced brain dead. Family is waiting to get a full medical report from the Chief Medical Examiner’s office at Travis County Medical Center to know more details on this death.


Rajendra Prasad hails from Choppadandi village, Karimnagar district completed his B.Tech from Bapatla Engineering College and has been in USA for the last 3.5 years. Currently, he has been working for Charles Schwab a financial company in Austin. He is survived by wife Rajani, 25 yrs and parents Satyanarayana and Vijaya, two brothers and a sister. Racherla and Rajani’s family are in deep shock after hearing the sad news. Rajendra Prasad got married only six months ago and his wife joined him in Austin only three months ago.


Rajendra’s family contacted and requested TANA officials to send the deceased to Karimnagar. TANA Team Square volunteers Praveen Nuthulapati, Ashok Gunda, Murali Vennam, TANA Southwest Regional Director, Ram Yalamanchili, TANA Treasurer working on logistics. Prasad Thotakura, TANA Executive Vice President is coordinating efforts to get all the needed documents through State Government sources and the Indian Consulate at Houston office as soon as possible and expected to send the deceased to Hyderabad by Thursday. Jayaram Komati, President expressed condolences to Racharla’s family.
