The river Godavari has always stood the test of times and has been the jewel of Andhra Pradesh. The beautiful river has been offering services providing water to agriculturist, supplying drinking water to the towns and cities and last but not the least, it has also been attracting hordes of tourists with its scenic locales.
Now, the latest addition to this has become the houseboats that were meant to be the highlight of the backwaters of Kerala. Now, the same concept has been implemented on the Godavari river but then there is news from the local folk that these houseboats have actually been becoming the hubs for other activities.
The famous Peddapuram area which is barely 30 kms from Godavari banks is said to be the most sought after and these houseboats are being reserved by young men and they have been getting ladies from Peddapuram and the rest does not require any explanation. This is said to be boosting the revenue for the boat operators too. Strange but trueâ¦
