Similar Incidents With Different Results

Himachal Pradesh: In the Beas tragedy, there were two incidents of a similar nature but with different results.

One student Srinidhi noticed the rising water level and started to come to safety. However, she went back to retrieve her footwear which had slipped and was carried away by the current.

Another student got down from the bus and was about to join his friends for a photo session, but his slipper came undone and he decided to stay back. This incident saved his life said the young man.

The people of Andhra Pradesh are yet to recover from the shock of loss of so many innocent young lives.
