Demand for drivers and hotel staff in the UAE is reportedly rising sharply. One of the reasons being cited is the non-renewal of residence visas for a section of Pakistani workers.

Even BTech graduates are opting for blue-collar jobs, believing that securing an IT position has become increasingly difficult.
For many youngsters, a stable income in the UAE now appears more practical than waiting indefinitely for opportunities in India’s technology sector.
The stigma surrounding blue-collar work is also gradually fading, with financial stability becoming more important than job titles.
The trend reflects a major shift in the employment market. As artificial intelligence reshapes white-collar careers, many educated youngsters are choosing practical opportunities abroad.
It also highlights how changes in immigration policies in one country can reshape employment patterns in another.
