Fresh developments have surfaced in the Ketan Agarwal murder case, with police claiming that the two main accused, Siya Goyal and Chetan Chaudhary, carefully planned both the murder and the events that would follow. I
Investigators allege the duo decided not to meet for several days after Ketan's death so that the incident would appear to be an accidental fall at Lohagad Fort and their relationship would not come under suspicion.
Police also claim the accused deleted WhatsApp chats, call logs and other mobile data to destroy evidence.
However, both phones have been seized and sent to the Forensic Science Laboratory, where experts are trying to recover deleted messages and digital records that could help reconstruct the sequence of events.
During questioning, the accused reportedly gave different versions of the alleged conspiracy.
While Chetan allegedly claimed Siya insisted Ketan had to be killed, Siya reportedly blamed Chetan for planning the murder.
Police are examining forensic evidence, CCTV footage and digital records as both the accused deleted all their chats and call logs.
According to police sources, Chetan allegedly wanted the plan executed without delay so that he and Siya could leave for a trip to Mahabaleshwar soon after Ketan's death.
Investigators also claim the pair continued communicating with each other following the incident, despite the ongoing investigation.
