United States international cricketer Akhilesh Reddy has been suspended for eight years after being found guilty of match-fixing-related offences, the International Cricket Council said on Monday.
The 26-year-old was charged in November with three breaches of the ICC’s anti-corruption code during the franchise-based Abu Dhabi T10 League. He was provisionally suspended at the time.
According to the ICC, a tribunal found Reddy guilty of attempting to fix or improperly influence matches.
He was also found guilty of trying to persuade another player to take part in corrupt activities and of deleting data and messages from a mobile phone that were relevant to the investigation.
However, the ICC clarified that Reddy’s attempt to involve another player in the corrupt activity was unsuccessful.
The eight-year ban has been backdated to November 21, 2025.
Reddy last represented the United States in April 2025.
