The United States of America is a dream land for many of the Indians. Hindus from India and other parts of world settled in USA and Canada are very religious. They have prayed to Lord Venkateswara countless times in the last few years ever since the America was struck by the recession. Perumal Srinivasa has heard to our requests and granted His Darshan in USA.
A team consisting of Archakas, Veda Pandits, officials and artists from TTD, brought the idols of Lord Srinivasa, Sridevi and Bhudevi, and performed the Kalyanam in USA last year. Over 20000 people had the Divya Darshan of Kalyana Srinivasa.
Lord Venkateswara along with Sreedevi and Bhudevi are now residing at Sri Guruvayurappan Temple, Morganville, New Jersey since then. As a yearly tradition the temple is planning to conduct another Srinivasa Kalyanam on July 16th 2011 similar to last year. Several thousand devotees from USA are expected to attend and seek the blessings of the Kaliyuga Daivam.
Over 200 volunteers will prepare the venue for Swamy vari and Amma vari Kalyanam. The pandits and priests will chant Vedic mantras to prepare the Venue for all the religious ceremonies that begin at 8:30 AM on July 16th, 2011. These pujas and Kalyanam are performed in accordance to religious script, per the procedures and mantras conducted in Tirumala.
The devotees can register for the Kalyanam at www.krishnatemple.org/srinivasakalyanam and it will be the main operating tool for promotion, online donations, registrations etc.
The devotees can take this opportunity to participate in this divine cause, provide information to friends and relatives across USA and Canada to register at the earliest. We urge all the devotees to participate and get blessings from Lord Venketeswara, Sreedevi and Bhudevi.
