Success Story Of Scrap To Crores!!

You may have heard of rags to riches stories in the lives of few individuals but here is a story which is about scraps to riches. Well, this is not about a person but a public sector body which is quite famous for its corruption. We are talking about the world’s largest public sector undertaking- the Indian railways.
 
Well, to be more specific, we are talking about the South Central Railway and it is heard that they have minted crores by not some value added service but by purely selling their scrap. Reports say that SCR has made a revenue of a whopping Rs 335 crores for the last financial year. Interestingly, there has been a 10 percent hike in the revenue compared to the year before.
 
The reason for this success is attributed to the surveys SCR has been doing along the tracks and workshops to identify the scrap which is meant for disposal. Due to their smart thinking, they made money and got even richer. Way to go South Central Railways!!!
