Terrible! Terrible situation: Big B

Amitabh Bachchan, no doubt tuned in to news of the attacks that rocked Mumbai on Wednesday night, was taken aback by the events unfolding around the city, as is evident from a late-night post on his blog. Even as other Bollywood celebrities have sent out messages to maintain calm, the Big B’s online entry captures the sentiment most Mumbaikars away from the scene of the attacks had on the fateful night.

A clearly distressed Big B wrote (in all caps) from his home Prateeksha in the suburb of Juhu at 1.23 am on Thursday morning, “Mumbai under terrorist attack!! Several locations bombed and terrorists firing all over the city. Major hotels under seige. Taj Hotel battle going on inside the hotel. Multiple action on. Army called out. Over 60 reported killed and 120 injured. 7 of the police killed. Terrible! Terrible situation!”
