Terrorism – What we can do

We should not sit and think that “I cannot fight this terrorism”. Every common citizen can fight this menace their own way. We may not be able to fight this terrorism directly but definitely minimize the affect of terrorism. Part of the problem is corruption and illegal money transfers. We in the US should follow these simple steps to do our part:

1. Most of the funding for the terrorists come through donations to fake non-profit organizations. No matter which non-profit organization you are donating money to, make sure you ask for results, these organizations must publish annual finances to the public. For example, I have seen several non-profits collecting money for Tsunami relief in California, almost all of them failed to show the results, I havent seen any evidence of the money spent. Where is the money going?

2. Do not bribe the customs at the entry and exit ports of India just to save some money on electronics and gold. If any official asks for money, threaten them publicly to report to ACB, these guys are the real terrorists. Can you imagine the terrorists reaching Mumbai without bribing some Indian official on the way?

3. Always send money through legal ways, do not use Hawala etc, terrorists main source of money transfer is Hawala.

4. Do not rent/purchase pirated DVDs and music CDs. We like it when we get something cheap, but if you purchase pirated stuff, you are probably contributing to some terror network.

5. Question every official asking for money, publicly denounce them and threaten them to report to ACB.
