Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy Foundation, Inc. and North American Telugu Association (NATA) conducted a Blood Donation Drive through American Red Cross on September 10th, 2011 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Radisson Hotel Valley Forge, 1160 First Avenue, King of Prussia, PA 19406.
This event was held in commemoration of Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy’s 2nd vardhanti and the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 victims.
This event was inaugurated by Pennsylvania State Representative Kate Harper, Ex-MP M. Gnanendra Reddy, and MLC Jupudi Prabhakar Rao.
This event was organized by Dr. Raghava Reddy, Srinivasa Reddy Emani, Rajeshwar Reddy Gangasani, Rami Reddy Alla, Siva Meka, Chandrasekhar Reddy Vedanaparti, Ram Kallam, Sujana Kurri, Hari Velkur, Srinivasulu Reddy Somavarapu, Nageshwar Reddy, Srikanth Reddy Lakkasagaram, Sarath Mandapati, Anjan Karnati, Anna Reddy, Ramaprasad Netapalli, Venkatarami Reddy, Sridhar Reddy Thikkavarapu, Satish Indupuru, Pratap Jakka, Ajay Yaratha, Prasad Sanikommu, Madhu Gonipati, Jyothi Reddy, Naveen Buchi and Venkat Reddy.
Representative Harper initiated the program by thanking all the donors, attendees, and organizers for working towards such a noble cause. Mr. Gnanendra Reddy and Jupudi Prabhakar Rao remembered their association with Dr. YSR and praised all the blood donors.
All the participants condemned the terroristic actions across the globe.
The event coordinator and NATA board of director, Dr. Raghava Reddy, welcomed all the guests and thanked all the volunteers and donors for the overwhelming response to the 2nd blood drive. Out of the large number who attended, 120 people donated blood and made the event a grand success with the motto “Service to Mankind is Service to God”.
All Dr. YSR followers vowed to continue this tradition of Blood donation camp every year and save lives in the name of Dr. YSR and 9/11 victims.
American Red Cross coordinator acknowledged that this is one of their biggest Blood Drive in their history and they thanked the organizers and donors. Thanks to Brooke Glen Behavioral Hospital CEO Mr. Neil Callahan for sponsoring complementary T-shirts to all the blood donors.
