With Peddi scheduled for release on June 4, Tollywood is gearing up for what is arguably the biggest film to arrive after the Sankranti season.
The film has generated considerable buzz and is expected to dominate the box office conversation in the coming weeks.
However, a bigger question is beginning to emerge within industry circles, what comes after Peddi?
Surprisingly, there are very few confirmed big ticket releases lined up for the remainder of 2026.
At present, Adarsha Kutumbam, starring Venkatesh and directed by Trivikram Srinivas, is expected to arrive around the Dasara season.
Among the announced projects, it appears to be the only film with the potential to attract large family audiences and generate significant theatrical footfalls.
Another major project on the horizon is Prabhas' Fauzi, which is currently targeting a December release.
However, given the scale of the film and the industry's tendency to reserve major releases for the festive season, there is always the possibility of it being pushed to the Sankranti window.
Beyond these films, the release calendar appears unusually thin. Projects such as Nani's Paradise and the Telugu dubbed version of Yash's Toxic have not confirmed their release dates at all.
As things stand, Tollywood's second half of 2026 lacks the kind of star driven releases that typically energize the market.
