Motivation For Gunasekhar To Make ‘Varudu’

It is often said that a strong inspiration or an unforgettable experience drives a director to come up with a story. And ‘Varudu’ seems to be one such product from director Gunasekhar’s life experience. This is a rather intriguing story which can touch the hearts of many.
 
Apparently, Gunasekhar had a love marriage and it was an inter- caste affair. So his father sent him away from home. Just like others, he thought that his father would reunite but that never happened.
 
Since then, Gunasekhar lost the love of his father and family and was never able to come to terms with that. It seems he realizes the essence of arranged marriage and that’s how ‘Varudu’ came into being. If only he could have brought such a strong emotion onto his script and story, the result would have been completely different today.
