At one point, Vijay Sethupathi enjoyed similar demand, but now many Telugu filmmakers are reportedly approaching Fahadh Faasil for key characters.
However, the Malayalam star is said to be highly selective about the projects he signs.
According to industry buzz, he has turned down several high-profile Telugu films in recent times.
Reports suggest that after his experience with Pushpa 2, the actor is now choosing only roles that genuinely interest him.
It is also being said that Fahadh Faasil is unwilling to compromise either on remuneration or on the importance of his role in a film.
The latest buzz in film circles is that he declined a role in Ram Pothineni’s upcoming project. Ram Pothineni is reportedly acting in and directing a psychological thriller that was recently announced.
Sources claim that representatives from the team approached Fahadh Faasil for a key role, but the actor turned down the offer.
Currently, Fahadh Faasil is said to be working on two Telugu films backed by S S Karthikeya, son of filmmaker S S Rajamouli.
