Love Insurance Kompany, starring Pradeep Ranganathan, Krithi Shetty, and S. J. Suryah, is nearing the end of its theatrical run with disappointing results at the box office.
Released with strong expectations, especially after Pradeep’s recent success streak, the film has failed to meet the mark and has now become his first setback.
The Tamil sci-fi romantic comedy collected just ₹8 lakh on its fourth Saturday (Day 23). As per trade estimates, the film has earned around ₹42.75 crore net (Tamil + Telugu) in India, translating to about ₹50.44 crore gross. While the numbers may appear decent on paper, they fall short considering the film’s scale and budget.
Made on an estimated budget of ₹60 crore, the film is unlikely to cross ₹45 crore net in its lifetime run, ending up as an underperformer.
Directed by Vignesh Shivan, the film also features Seeman, Yogi Babu, and Gouri G Kishan in key roles. It is produced by Nayanthara and S. S. Lalit Kumar under Rowdy Pictures and Seven Screen Studio.
After its theatrical run, Love Insurance Kompany is set to premiere on Amazon Prime Video from May 6 in multiple languages including Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam.
