The Dhurandhar franchise has set a new benchmark at the Indian box office. Together, the two films reportedly grossed more than Rs 3,000 crore worldwide, surpassing the combined collections of several other blockbuster franchises.
Apart from director Aditya Dhar’s vision and Ranveer Singh’s performance, composer Shashwat Sachdev received widespread appreciation for his songs and powerful background score, which played a key role in the films’ success.
Following the blockbuster success of Dhurandhar, the young composer has reportedly been receiving several high-profile offers. However, he is said to be taking his time before signing any new projects.
Meanwhile, industry buzz suggests that Shashwat recently met director Sukumar, sparking speculation about a possible collaboration.
Sukumar has already announced his next film with Ram Charan. However, the project has reportedly been delayed for several reasons, including Ram Charan’s recent wrist surgery, which has pushed back the actor’s shooting schedule.
Even so, a collaboration between Sukumar and Shashwat appears unlikely at this stage. Sukumar has consistently worked with Devi Sri Prasad throughout his career, and the composer played a major role in the pan-Indian success of the Pushpa franchise.
Considering their long-standing association, it would be surprising if Sukumar chose a different music director for his upcoming film.
For now, Shashwat’s reported meeting with Sukumar remains a matter of speculation, with no indication that the two are joining hands for Ram Charan’s project.
