Director Vamshi Paidipally is currently busy with his maiden Hindi film starring Bollywood superstar Salman Khan.
The actor has undergone a noticeable transformation for the project, appearing much leaner and sporting closely cropped hair, which has sparked curiosity about his character.
Although Vamshi Paidipally has repeatedly stated that the film is based on an original story and is not a remake, Salman Khan’s latest corporate-style look has triggered speculation on social media.
Many fans have wondered whether the film could be a reworked version of Paidipally’s 2019 Telugu blockbuster Maharshi, which starred Mahesh Babu.
In Maharshi, Mahesh Babu played a college student who later became a successful corporate executive before returning to his roots as a farmer.
Some online discussions even suggested that Paidipally may have retained the corporate backdrop while dropping the college portions for the Hindi version.
However, industry insiders have dismissed these rumours. They maintain that the Salman Khan-starrer is neither a remake of Maharshi nor Varisu, another film directed by Paidipally.
Instead, the project is said to be a full-fledged action entertainer. Salman Khan’s trimmed, almost buzz-cut look is reportedly part of his action-oriented character.
