Allu Arjun’s Raaka, directed by Atlee, is reportedly facing another delay. The big-budget film is being mounted on a massive scale, with the makers taking extensive measures to keep details about the project under wraps. A major set has also been erected in Mumbai.
According to the latest buzz, the film’s huge canvas is taking the team longer than expected to complete both the shooting and post-production work.
Allu Arjun had initially planned to release Raaka in 2026, but the release was later pushed to December 2027, reportedly to align with the release window of the Pushpa franchise.
Now, there are reports that the film could be delayed further to early 2028. The post-production work is said to require nearly a year, prompting the makers to consider a 2028 release.
Allu Arjun is reportedly comfortable with the delay. He is expected to begin his next film with Lokesh Kanagaraj shortly and is likely to remain occupied with that project through 2027.
The shooting of Raaka is expected to be completed before he moves on to the Lokesh Kanagaraj film, while the extensive post-production work will continue simultaneously.
If the latest reports are accurate, Raaka could move from its planned December 2027 release to early 2028.
