Many are now wondering why Rajinikanth has not publicly congratulated Vijay, especially as both belong to the Tamil film fraternity.
Rajinikanth was recently spotted at Chennai airport, where a reporter asked for his reaction to Vijay’s rise as Chief Minister. The veteran superstar simply smiled and walked away.
On the other hand, Kamal Haasan openly congratulated Vijay and said he was proud that a member of the acting fraternity had become Chief Minister.

It was widely believed that if any actor had the potential to become Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, it would be Rajinikanth. But Vijay not only delivered bigger hits in recent years, he has now also emerged as a successful politician.
Perhaps this is why Rajinikanth is choosing to stay away from publicly appreciating the new Chief Minister.
