Akhil has now reacted to the criticism.
He said he never worried about the age difference between them or her religious background. He also revealed that they had openly discussed these matters before marriage.
“Should I worry about the trolling against me and my wife for a few days or months, or should I think about the next 50 years of my life? I chose to think about my life,” Akhil said.

He added that such issues were very small in his eyes.
Akhil said he had already warned Zainab that she might face negative posts after becoming his wife and asked her to be mentally prepared.
“She did exactly that,” he said.
The actor revealed that they treated every troll and negative comment as a blessing.
He said their relationship goes beyond caste, religion, age and other social differences. According to him, they share a deep understanding and strong emotional bond.
Akhil also spoke about the support Zainab gave him during a difficult phase in his life.
He said she stood by him when he was struggling both mentally and physically. That support brought them closer and strengthened their relationship.
Akhil admitted that no matter how much he tried to protect her, he could not shield her from social media trolling.
He said everything depended on how she handled the negativity.
