Ananthika Sanilkumar is currently in the spotlight with the release of her upcoming Telugu film Romanchakam. Presented by filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the film is set to hit theatres on September 3.
Ananthika, who impressed audiences with 8 Vasanthalu despite the film not succeeding at the box office, is now reportedly being considered for another interesting project, Yellamma.
The Venu Yeldandi directorial, produced by Dil Raju, marks popular music composer Devi Sri Prasad’s debut as an actor. There has been considerable speculation about the female lead, with names such as Keerthy Suresh and Anupama Parameswaran being linked to the project at different stages.
Ananthika is now also being reported as the actress who could be paired opposite Devi Sri Prasad. However, when asked about her casting in Yellamma, she did not confirm the reports.
“Currently, discussions are underway for some new projects in Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam,” she said, keeping the details under wraps.
Interestingly, if Ananthika does come on board, she would be paired opposite Devi Sri Prasad, who is considerably older than her.
Whether the makers eventually confirm her as the female lead and how this pairing will be presented on screen remains to be seen.
