There was once strong speculation that Jana Nayagan would be released on Thalapathy Vijay’s birthday, which falls on January 22.
Fans expected at least an official announcement, teaser, or some form of promotional update as the date approached.
However, with barely a week left before the much-discussed release window, there has been complete silence from the makers.
No posters, no trailer, and no confirmation have surfaced, leaving fans increasingly uncertain about the film’s future.
The lack of communication has naturally fueled doubts. In today’s film industry, major releases are usually supported by months of marketing and publicity.
Many assumed that once Vijay became the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, nothing could stand in the way of Jana Nayagan's release.
However, the current situation suggests that Vijay himself may not be particularly interested in pushing the project forward.
At the same time, producer KVN, who reportedly invested a massive amount in the film, cannot simply be left stranded.
One would imagine that some form of assurance must have been given to the producer before such a huge financial commitment was made. Whether that assurance still holds good remains the big question.
