With Toxic losing momentum in the Telugu states, Ravi Teja’s Irumudi is once again emerging as the major beneficiary.
The film has already grossed more than Rs 120 crore in its first week, making it the highest-grossing film of Ravi Teja’s career.
Now, the film is heading into a promising second weekend, beginning Friday.
More importantly, Friday coincides with Raksha Bandhan, giving Irumudi another advantage at the box office. Saturday and Sunday are expected to bring in even stronger collections.
As of now, Irumudi is turning into a big hit. Unlike many successful films this year, it has maintained strong momentum with each passing day.
While weekday drops are normal for films, Irumudi has managed to maintain steady numbers, making the second weekend particularly crucial.
The big question now is whether Irumudi can enter the Rs 200 crore club.
Directed by Shiva Nirvana, the film stars Priya Bhavani Shankar as the heroine, while Baby Nakshatra plays Ravi Teja’s daughter.
