After the success of HIT: The Third Case, Nani is now gearing up for the release of his much-awaited film The Paradise.
The promotional material has created strong buzz, with the Aaya Sher song in particular generating huge excitement. That momentum is now clearly visible in the Day 1 advance bookings at the Indian box office.
The initial rush suggests that The Paradise is heading towards a massive opening.
The Telugu action thriller is also expected to get the widest theatrical release of Nani’s career. Being the biggest film mounted on the Natural Star so far, expectations are understandably high among fans.
There is also strong interest among neutral moviegoers, particularly in the Telugu states, where the film is expected to register one of the biggest openings in recent times.
At present, bookings have opened only in a limited number of centres, but the response has already been encouraging.
So far, around 1,150 shows have reportedly been listed for advance booking. This number is expected to rise significantly as more theatres open bookings, with two more days still remaining before release.
Nani’s current biggest opening in India is Dasara, which collected around Rs 23.2 crore net on Day 1. The Paradise is expected to comfortably surpass that figure and register the biggest opening of Nani’s career.
Going by the current trend, the film could also become Nani’s first Rs 30 crore net opener in India, with the possibility of going even higher depending on the final booking momentum.
The stage is clearly set for a huge start. What happens after that will depend largely on the film’s content and word of mouth.
If The Paradise receives strong audience response, it could go on to deliver much bigger numbers during its theatrical run.
