Mega Power Star Ram Charan has created a global sensation with Peddi. The film is gearing up for a worldwide release, and the makers have intensified promotions across markets.
Director Buchi Babu Sana, while interacting with the media, clarified rumours that he had narrated the story to other actors before Ram Charan. He said the character was designed only for Ram Charan.
Speaking about how the project materialised, the director shared his deep admiration for the star.
“Peddi was written only for Ram Charan garu. I had written the story even before Uppena. After the release of my film, I narrated it to Sukumar garu, and he immediately arranged a narration with Ram Charan sir. While writing Peddi itself, I had only Ram Charan garu in mind for the character. After hearing the narration, he approved it in a single sitting without suggesting even a single correction. If Peddi exists today, the sole reason behind it is Ram Charan garu,” Buchi Babu said.
The film’s trailer will be unveiled on May 18 in Mumbai.
Produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru on a never-seen-before scale, Peddi features Janhvi Kapoor as the female lead, with Shiva Rajkumar, Divyenndu and Jagapathi Babu in prominent roles.
Peddi is officially slated for a worldwide theatrical release on June 4, 2026.
