Jr NTR and director Trivikram Srinivas’ upcoming film has landed in controversy even before its release.
Tamil nationalist leader Seeman has reportedly objected to the way Lord Murugan, also known as Subrahmanya Swamy, is being presented in the film.
According to Seeman, the film is trying to show Murugan as a deity connected to North India, which he strongly opposed.
He claimed that Subrahmanya Swamy is deeply associated with Tamil Nadu and that there is historical and cultural evidence to support it.
Seeman warned that protests would be intensified if the film is not stopped or if the controversial portrayal is not corrected.
He also said that Tamil sentiments should not be hurt in the name of cinema.
“We will not remain silent if the feelings of Tamils are insulted,” Seeman warned.
The controversy has now created fresh attention around the Jr NTR-Trivikram project, with people waiting to see how the makers respond to the objections.
