Cuts and Mutes: The Paradise Team to Submit Revised Version

The Paradise is set to arrive in theatres next week, but the film has reportedly undergone several cuts and mutes during the censor process, particularly due to its violent content and abusive language.

The CBFC reportedly asked the makers to remove certain dialogues and sequences. Instead, the team suggested replacing some of the abusive words with alternative terms that retain the context while reducing the offensive content.

The makers have also agreed to modify certain gore-heavy and bloody sequences. The revised portions will be submitted to the CBFC, after which the film is expected to receive its official censor certificate. The team is currently working on the required changes.

Nani and director Srikanth Odela are said to have made a highly violent film. While the intense content is expected to appeal to mass audiences, some portions reportedly proved too extreme to clear the censor process in their original form.

Rather than going for an appeal, the team has apparently agreed to make the necessary changes, including replacing some of the stronger abusive words with milder and more commonly used alternatives.

The Paradise is riding on high expectations, and the team has already begun its South Indian promotional campaign ahead of the September 24 release.
