Nani’s "The Paradise" was one of the most awaited Telugu films, and the period action drama finally arrived in theatres after considerable delay.
Strong pre-release hype and Nani’s popularity helped the film register a massive opening, but collections began to slow down over the following days.
Monday was seen as a crucial test for the film, and the numbers showed a sharp drop.
"The Paradise" opened with paid premieres on Thursday, collecting ₹11.60 crore. On Friday, its first full day, the film earned ₹34.65 crore, taking the opening total to ₹46.25 crore — the biggest opening of Nani’s career.
The film then collected ₹14.90 crore on Saturday, followed by ₹15.25 crore and ₹15.70 crore on the next two days.
On Day 5, Monday, "The Paradise" collected ₹5 crore net in India, marking a steep 68.2 per cent drop from the previous day’s ₹15.70 crore.
Of the ₹5 crore Monday collection, the Telugu version contributed ₹4.10 crore, while Hindi brought in ₹75 lakh and Tamil added ₹15 lakh.
The film recorded ₹5 crore net across 5,804 shows on Day 5. Its total India net collection now stands at ₹97.10 crore, while the India gross has reached ₹114.85 crore.
Overseas, "The Paradise" collected ₹75 lakh on Monday, taking its total overseas gross to ₹30 crore. The worldwide gross now stands at ₹144.85 crore.
Directed by Srikanth Odela, "The Paradise" is produced by Sudhakar Cherukuri and Ishan Saksena under Sri Lakshmi Venkateshwara Cinemas and IVY Entertainment.
