It is an open secret in the film industry that director Trivikram and music director Devi Sri Prasad had some differences in the past.
The two once delivered several musical hits together. However, industry talk suggested that they later developed misunderstandings and stopped working with each other.
For the past few years, Trivikram has worked with different music directors. He collaborated with Mickey J Meyer for one film and Anirudh Ravichander for another. Later, he developed a strong working relationship with S Thaman.
Now, after many years, Devi Sri Prasad has once again entered Trivikram’s camp.
DSP has been chosen as the music director for Karthi’s upcoming film under the Sithara Entertainments banner. The makers officially announced the news today.
It is well known that Trivikram plays an important role in films produced by Haarika & Hassine Creations and Sithara Entertainments. Trivikram’s wife is also producing films in association with the Sithara banner.
Industry circles believe that no major project under the Sithara banner moves forward without Trivikram’s approval. The selection of key technicians is also said to happen under his supervision.
Therefore, many believe that Devi Sri Prasad’s entry into the Karthi project must have happened with Trivikram’s approval.
If that is true, it could mean that the differences between Trivikram and DSP have finally ended.
There is now fresh hope that the popular director-composer combination may reunite for a film in the future.
