Producer Naga Vamsi has been making several candid and, at times, controversial comments in his recent interviews.

In one of his recent interviews, Naga Vamsi spoke about the practice of announcing inflated box-office figures.
He said that collection posters released by producers are not always accurate and claimed that everyone in the industry is aware of this practice.
He also said that even Income Tax officials know that producers sometimes announce inflated figures, mainly to satisfy the fans of the respective stars.
According to Naga Vamsi, however, the inflation is usually not very high. He claimed that producers generally add around 20% to 25% to the actual collections while announcing figures publicly.
His comments have now sparked discussion on social media, with some users arguing that he has indirectly admitted that the Rs 100 crore collection poster released for Lenin may also have been inflated.
Lenin, starring Akhil Akkineni, was jointly produced by Naga Vamsi and Akkineni Nagarjuna.
The film marked a significant comeback for Akhil at the box office, and the makers celebrated its success by releasing a poster claiming that the film had crossed the Rs 100 crore gross mark.
Going by Naga Vamsi’s own statement that producers sometimes add 20% to 25% to the actual collections, social media users are now doing the math and suggesting that the film’s real gross could have been somewhere around Rs 75 crore to Rs 80 crore.
However, Naga Vamsi did not specifically say that the Lenin poster was fake or that its Rs 100 crore figure was inflated.
His comments were about the broader practice of box-office reporting, and the connection to Lenin is being made by social media users.
