What will happen to Ranveer Singh’s upcoming films? That has become the big question in the Hindi film industry after the Federation of Western India Cine Employees issued a non-cooperation directive against the actor on May 25.
The action came after producers Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani reportedly complained that Ranveer had abruptly exited Don 3, allegedly causing major financial losses and disrupting the planning of the big-ticket franchise film.
The FWICE directive has triggered concern over whether the actor’s upcoming projects could face delays or production hurdles.
Since the federation represents a large network of cine workers and technicians, any non-cooperation call can create practical difficulties for shoots, schedules and coordination.
Ranveer currently has some ambitious projects in the pipeline. These include the zombie thriller Pralay, which is being mounted on a large scale, and Aditya Dhar’s upcoming film based on Chandragupta Maurya.
Both projects require extensive planning, large crews and long shooting schedules, making the industry watch the situation closely.
