Prabhas has built a strong image as one of Indian cinema’s leading action stars, but after The Raja Saab, some viewers felt that body doubles were used too frequently in his action scenes. This led to questions over whether the actor was avoiding difficult and risky stunts.
Now, veteran stunt masters Ram and Lakshman have offered some clarity, saying Prabhas is not someone who stays away from action sequences.
According to them, the actor comes to the sets whenever his action scenes are scheduled and is willing to put in the required physical effort. They also said people often make such claims without knowing what actually happens during a shoot.
Speaking to Great Andhra, Ram and Lakshman said, “People talk about these things without knowing the actual situation. In the projects we have worked on with him, Prabhas has come to the sets and worked happily. He has stayed for long hours and completed his work.”
They added, “There is much more competition now. Telugu cinema has reached the pan-India level, and actors of all ages are pushing themselves. Some actors may avoid certain risks if they feel they cannot perform them safely, while others may be willing to take on more difficult work. It is not fair to compare everyone directly. Each actor does what he can based on his age and comfort level.”
Prabhas will next be seen in Fauzi, which is scheduled for release on December 3. The film also stars Sanjay Dutt, Nidhhi Agerwal, Malavika Mohanan, Riddhi Kumar and Zarina Wahab.
